Systems Engineering

We turn your company's operations into connected systems that run efficiently.

We analyse business processes and build custom systems that connect data, teams and procedures, with clear interfaces and a technical architecture that can grow.

The introductory session is free. Detailed analysis, technical reports and the roadmap are provided under a separate quote.

Challenges → Solutions

From an operational problem to a digital solution

The challenge: Data scattered across Excel files and separate programs
What the system does: One database everyone works on
The challenge: Approvals handled on paper or by message
What the system does: Approval workflows inside the system, with a clear status for every request
The challenge: Reports assembled by hand at month end
What the system does: Reports and dashboards drawn from the same data
The challenge: An off-the-shelf system that does not match how you work
What the system does: Modules built around your procedures
The challenge: Systems that do not exchange data
What the system does: APIs that connect them

Business Process Analysis

We start with the process, before the code

We document how work runs today, who decides, and where it stalls. Then we draw the procedure as it will run inside the system.

Today

  1. Request by email
  2. Waiting
  3. Approval by phone
  4. Manual entry

Inside the system

  1. Request in the system
  2. Approval by permission
  3. Execution
  4. Report

An illustrative example. Each project's analysis deliverables are set by the scope of work and contract.

System Architecture

An architecture of layers, each with its own job

Separate layers let us change an interface or add a module without rebuilding the system.

  1. Interfaces · Interfaces

Screens for staff and management, and a mobile app when needed.

  2. Business modules · Modules

The logic of each department: sales, inventory, finance and others.

  3. API layer · API

One channel for the interfaces and for external systems.

  4. Database · Database

Tables designed around your data relations and reports.

  5. Operation · Infrastructure

Server, release, updates and backups as agreed.

Modules & Workflow Automation

Modules that hand work to each other

Each module does its job and passes the result on: a request becomes an approval, the approval an order, the order an entry and a report.

  1. Request
  2. Approval
  3. Execution
  4. Financial entry
  5. Report

Types of systems that can be built

Examples of solution types, not a list of delivered projects. Our actual projects are in the case studies section.

  • Store and inventory managementSales, customers, stock and reports.
  • Appointment booking and clinicsAppointments, records and invoices.
  • Delivery and fleetsOrders, zones, drivers and vehicles.
  • Contracting and projectsProject tracking, purchasing and costs.
  • E-learningContent, tests and trainees.
  • Supply chain and warehousesWarehouses, purchase orders and suppliers.

Roles, Permissions & Audit Trails

Every user sees what concerns them; every change is recorded

With each client we define the roles and what each role may see or do, and we record sensitive operations: who did what, and when.

ERP & External Systems

It integrates with what you have

We connect the custom system to Odoo ERP and to external systems and services through APIs, as far as those systems allow.

Delivery Methodology

Overlapping stages, delivery in increments

Each stage's duration and deliverables are set by the scope of work and contract.

  1. Process and requirements analysis

We document the procedures and define the scope.

  2. Architecture and database design

    Before any code is written.

  3. Development in stages

    Modules tried one after another.

  4. Testing and user training

On data close to the real thing.

  5. Launch and support

    Under the agreed support plan.

Security · Maintainability · Scalability

What we take care of in every system

Security

  • Permissions by role
  • Protected sign-in and sessions
  • Backups as agreed

Maintainability

  • Code organized in modules
  • Documentation handed over as the scope requires
  • Tests for the core functions

Scalability

  • New modules without a rebuild
  • APIs for connecting new systems
  • An architecture designed for more users and data

FAQ

Questions decision-makers ask

When do I need a custom system instead of an off-the-shelf one?

When the ready-made system does not match your procedures, or when adapting it costs more than building. We assess this with you, and may recommend a ready-made system such as Odoo ERP if it fits better.

How much does a custom system cost?

It depends on the number of modules, users and integrations. After the analysis we send a written quote that sets out the scope, the stages and the cost.

How long does it take?

We set a written timeline once the scope is agreed, and deliver in stages you can try.

Who owns the code and the data?

Ownership of the code and the rights to use it, and the terms for data and hosting, are set out in writing in the contract before work begins; they vary with the type of project and what is agreed.

Will it integrate with Odoo or our current system?

In most cases yes; it depends on the interfaces (APIs) or data-exchange methods the system offers. We assess this before committing to the integration scope.

What happens after launch?

We provide maintenance and updates under the agreed support plan. Plan details are on the pricing page.
